The 1.5m turbine will potentially generate three times the amount of kilowatt-hours annually
than that of an equivalent sized residential Solar PV installation
The power output of the 1.5m turbine is rated at 1.65kW. This rating is calculated at a
constant wind speed of 15m/s, or just over 50km/h.
Can produce between 7 to 8 kilowatt hours per day which can be consumed in the home or
exported to the grid.
The Hush Wind Power turbine will begin to produce power in as little as 2m/s wind – that’s
a slight breeze capable of rustling leaves on the Beaufort Scale used to calculate wind
strengths!

An Australian household with electric appliances consumes on average up to 20kWh of
electricity per day, at a cost of around $1,100 per year (and set to climb!).
Protect against the impact of future power price increases - with optimal wind strengths at
just 25% of the time, average grid consumption could be offset up to 42%!
Hush 1.5m turbines qualify for the new Federal Government Solar Credits scheme. You will
be eligible for Renewable Energy Certificates, set to be worth $3,700 over 5 years, with a
further 15 RECs set to be claimable every 5 years until 2030.*
Opportunity to sell excess power back to the electrical retailer. Surplus power may be
purchased at 1:1 tariff rate, or if you’re in the ACT, all power your turbine generates is
purchasable by the retailer at $0.50 per kWh.**
