Solar Feed In Tariff
Feed in tariffs relate to electricity generated by domestic solar power systems being redirected back to power grids in return for remuneration. They are in line with the government's commitment to meeting their renewable energy targets and provide incentives for home owners to install solar panels and power systems in their homes.
Solar Feed in tariff schemes have been implemented by a number of State governments around Australia. Some have adopted the financially appealing gross feed in tariff, whilst others have implemented the less incentivised net feed in tariff.
